LDSF Funded Research Updates

The LDSF strives to fulfill our mission of fostering research by funding basic science initiatives. In December 2012, the LDSF provided a $20,000 research grant to Juan Calderon, a pre-doctoral research student at Johns Hopkins University. Calderon works in Dr. Hal Dietz’s lab on research revolving around several mouse models for LDS. Dr. Dietz is the chair of the LDSF Medical Advisory Council (MAC) and oversees this basic scientific research impacting mouse models.
